Palingenia Longicauda or also known as Tisa's Flower is an ancient insect species. Insect species is thought to have originated from 200 million in the past. One of the places the appearance of this insect is in the Tisa River.
Tisa River Tisa River or one of the last asylum, where every year these insects appear in large quantities. It is a rare spectacle, "wedding dance" on the Tisa River.

Only a few days in the month of June every year (not even every year) Tisa's Flower of birth, reproduction, and death. During three hours everything will end, life is very short. Insects of this type has no mouth, they live only to reproduce and die.

Life is very short, but very beautiful This is truly a rare sight difficult to be told only through pictures or words.
It is interesting to witness the phenomenon, which is one of the most beautiful phenomenon that only lasts for five days in the month of June. Thousands of these insects fly with spirit filled the whole river.

This Longicauda Palingenia insects, is one of the insects "mayfly" the largest in Europe. Male insects, can reach 12 cm in length, from head to tail. These insects are in the larvae during the three years. During the third year, the larvae are in the riverbed.

But their lifetime is very brief, lasting three hours. Once born they were growing up, in pairs and then immediately die. These insects have wings that is unique, their wings will change the skin, after reaching its main function.

This phenomenon is known by the name of Tissa Blooming or Expansion of Tisa. Once they are fully grown up (after a few seconds they changed the skin), male insects have only a few hours only to find their mates and females in pairs before they die.

Once paired, or reproduction, the female insects flying along the river to ascertain whether the eggs were already in the river and fell into the riverbed. Then the egg will become larvae within 45 days and will hatch after three years.
This insect is an insect that sensitive to pollution. If they were in a river, the river must have a clean river. Besides, as an indicator of the environment, insect food is also good for fish, so that some anglers use these insects as bait in their fishing rods.
